December is here!

December Series

Dec 1 – Dec 22, 2019

Merry Christmas everybody! Our December series this year takes a look at some bad characters with not-so-cheerful attitudes which can take the “merry” right out of our Christmas. Capturing some of that Christmas spirit, our teachers will illustrate some classic Christmas characters like Scrooge, the two thieves from Home Alone, the Grinch, and more. Don’t miss it.

Please note on Sunday, Dec 22 there will be no 8:00AM service.

Surge Christmas Party

Dec 13, 2019

Christmas is quickly approaching and we’re planning to get 5th and 6th graders into the holiday spirit! Kids are invited to come dressed up as a character from one of their favorite Christmas movies – like Scrooge, Cindy Lou Who, Elf, or even Kevin from Home Alone. It’s super fun to see what your kids come up with! We’ll have a great time playing crazy holiday games and kids will get to test their skills at creating a “not so gingery…gingerbread house!” There might even be a prize or two given out during the evening.

Christmas Eve Service

Dec 24, 2019

It’s a time for us to get together with family and friends in a warm atmosphere to celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus. Through song, film, and story – all ages will understand the reason we celebrate and experience the spirit of Christmas.

Reasons To Celebrate!

Angel Tree

Angel Tree is a Prison Fellowship program which ministers to the innocent children of prisoners. Kids receive a Christmas gift and the Good News that Jesus loves them. People select one or more Angels from our tree and purchase the gift that a child has requested on behalf of the incarcerated parent. Finally, we return the wrapped gift(s) with the Angel Tree tag to the table on the church patio on any scheduled Sunday.

This year…

  • 79 families were blessed
  • 212 children recieved a gift
  • More than 15 people volunteered to help make Angel Tree a success this year!
