As the parent of a student, you’re likely familiar with issues such as peer-pressure, struggles with self-esteem, and the fear often associated with standing up for one’s beliefs. While every student is unique, we believe that any young person can better approach these issues by growing in godly leadership skills.

NorthPointe is hosting a leadership conference organized by Kids On A Mission. This is a one-day leadership event for 5th-12th graders. The $10 registration will include:

  • Opening talk by DJ Oquist (Miami Leadership Institute Director)
  • Chick-Fil-A lunch
  • 2 training sessions (students pick the topics that interest them!)
  • Leadership panels (participants will hear from peers and adults who are leading well in our community)
  • Gift for each participant

In their breakout sessions, students will dive into questions like: What IS leadership? How does my personality enable me to influence others in a unique way? What if I don’t feel qualified to lead? How can I communicate better and have difficult conversations that point people to Jesus? Our very own NorthPointe leaders, Donna Finley and AJ Bowser, will be teaching two of these interactive sessions!
